Women are always underrepresented in the main workforce and
used to get fewer chances to develop themselves in the modern world. The
scenario was far worse in the Middle Eastern countries and in the North Africa
as well. The main reason for this was the limited access of education,
inequalities in the cultural, social and religious fronts. But the scenario is
changing fast and there are few areas where the Women in the Middle East and North Africa is making more progress
in rate which is envious even for the western world as well.
What is the progress?
Though you can see women empowerment everywhere in the Arab
world and in the North Africa region, even they are now a common face even in
the International political news too
which is a good sign of improvement for
the women. But one field where the women of North Africa and the Middle East are making more progress than their
America and European counterparts is the technical field. According to a survey
conducted by UNESCO the women of the countries like Egypt, Bahrain, and other
Arab countries making more progress in this field and changing the male-female parity ratio drastically. According
to the reports almost 34 percent of 57
percent grads are women and the number is increasing day by day. The best part
is that most of the women are graduating with subjects like engineering, science, and agriculture as well. On the other
hand countries like Bahrain and Egypt are now showing interest in employing
more women than men in various challenging fields.
